The name is accurate - they will give you a small cheese pizza for $5. It’s pretty damn good too. Picture this: you’re a hard working blue collar man at the shipyard with $20 in your account that’s gotta stretch one more night. You want to forget the past week because your wife just served you with papers and threatened to take the kids. Your truck just threw a check engine light after you threw the entire autozone parts catalog at it. Your stomach starts to growl right as you pass a place literally called $5 Pizza. You think it’s too good to be true but you pull in, and lo and behold these pizza wizards will feed you a cheese pizza for $5. You realize that you CAN afford to throw yourself a pity party tonight and relive your college days. You then swing by the gas station nearby for 6 tallboy beers because they’re on sale. You go home expecting a reheated frozen pizza and you take one bite and realize you’ve been served the best deal in Hampton Roads. The cheese is astoundingly cheesy and the crust has a rich melt-in-your-mouth feel. The food is not 5 dollars but maybe 6 dollars for a small cheese pizza with no toppings, the pizza is good overall, and there is good desserts there. The service was good taking the usual time for a pizza to be made, and the people there seemed both friendly and nice. small atmosphere where you can’t dine in but it is still a comfortable atmosphere but not that comfortable.

Placed an order for pickup over the phone, the guy was super friendly and nice. The store was really clean and nice, the food was hot and fresh , tasted amazing. Definitely will be coming here again.

This will be my usual spot from now on! Very pleasant to speak with on the phone and in person, pizza had good consistency with cheese, sauce and toppings, especially for the price. Can't recommend enough. Ordered an XL meat lovers with Jalapenos.

Can't complain! It's an older place , of course, but the atmosphere is welcoming. The lady is friendly, and you'll get your food pretty quickly. Although the pizza was for my kids, it smelled great when I opened the box. It was still hot with an amazing cheese pull after arriving home. The plain cheese is still $5, but since we had toppings on one side the total came to about $10.
